Being an Ironworker means:

• Having a good work ethic

• Possessing a positive attitude

• Listens and learns on the job and in the classroom

• Can work with others as a team to complete the project or task

• Follows the directions of the Foreman/Journeyman regardless of the manner in which they are given

• Aptitude and desire for the trade/career

• Has some experience doing construction, metal work or comparable work with transferable skills

• Has proven to be a good worker with good work history and attendance record and can indicate this even if not related to the trade

• The necessary physical condition to work at heights in a physically demanding environment for extended periods of time in all weather conditions as safety allows

• Drug free and can pass required drug test annually as required of all members
