Being an Ironworker means:
- Having a good work ethic
- Possessing a positive attitude
- Listens and learns on the job and in the classroom
- Can work with others as a team to complete the project or task
- Follows the directions of the Foreman/Journeyman regardless of the manner in which they are given
- Aptitude and desire for the trade/career
- Has some experience doing construction, metal work or comparable work with transferable skills
- Has proven to be a good worker with good work history and attendance record and can indicate this even if not related to the trade
- The necessary physical condition to work at heights in a physically demanding environment for extended periods of time in all weather conditions as safety allows
- Drug free and can pass required drug test annually as required of all members
